i don’t care who you vote for but vote please.  The best way to help people is to make educated choices in your representatives and laws. And for the extremely lazy,  you can vote absentee.

Eat Potato Chips?

If you go to http://www.lays.com/#Home and redeem the bag of  lays chips you just ate, 25cents will be donated to the Make-A-Wish foundation.  They have to be a “specialty marked” bag of lays and you have until 9/1/07.

Is Microsoft’s new campaign to get you to use their IM service. You download Windows Live Messenger, you choose a charity listed, and they will donate unspecified amount of money to that charity. The will not put a cap on the funds raised and each charity’s Microsoft Messenger page has a theme pack you can additionally download. The organizations Microsoft is helping are: American Red Cross, Boys and Girls Club, Humane Society, National Aids Fund, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, NineMillon.org, Sierra Club, Stop Global Warming.org, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Unicef.

Download Songs and Help People in Darfur

By downloading Working Class Hero by Green Day through iTunes, you will help people in Darfur Sudan.

Hug your mac for green

 A green world that is. Greenpeace has a campaign where you write to Steve Jobs and  take a picture of you hugging your mac to encourage Apple to “go green”.  Consider this the new way to be a tree hugger.

Folding @ Home

Folding @ Home is a small program you install on your computer. It works in the background and helps Stanford University fold proteins. I don’t know much about science but this  program is helping these awesome people to  cure Alzheimer’s Disease, Cancer, Huntington’s Disease, and others.   For more info and to install the program go to http://folding.stanford.edu/
